All Mechanical Service has been providing heating, air conditioning, boiler and heat pump services to homeowners throughout Harveys Lake and the Back Mountain since 1989.
Homes around Harveys Lake are anything but ordinary. From older homes with steam and hot-water heating to traditional furnaces and central air conditioning, modern heat pumps, seasonal properties and lakeside villas, we've worked with generations of heating and cooling technology throughout the community.
Whether you need maintenance, repair or a new comfort system, our goal is to recommend the solution that makes sense for your home and the way you use it.
Serving Harveys Lake Through the Generations
Harveys Lake has been part of the Back Mountain for generations. By the early 1900s, it had become a well-known resort community reached by train and trolley, with hotels, beaches, steamboats and an amusement park attracting visitors to the lake.
Over time, summer cottages became year-round residences, older homes were renovated and expanded, and new homes were built. The ways those homes are heated and cooled have changed too.
Since 1989, All Mechanical Service has helped Harveys Lake homeowners maintain older heating systems while bringing new generations of comfort technology into their homes.
Comfort for Generations.
Heating & Cooling for Harveys Lake Homes
There's no single heating and cooling solution that's right for every Harveys Lake property.
Some older homes still have steam or hot-water boiler systems, while others have conventional furnaces and central air conditioning. Natural gas is available in parts of Harveys Lake, while other homes rely on propane, heating oil or electricity.
Harveys Lake also has unique shore properties and lakeside villas, some with limited electrical service and no conventional ductwork. These properties, along with older homes, additions and renovated spaces, can sometimes be excellent applications for ductless heating and cooling.
Our job isn't to make your home fit a particular piece of equipment. It's to find the comfort solution that fits your home.
Mitsubishi Electric & Amana Comfort Systems
All Mechanical Service is a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Elite Contractor with decades of experience installing Mitsubishi Electric heating and cooling systems. Ductless and heat pump technology can be an excellent option for certain Harveys Lake homes, additions and lakeside properties where conventional ductwork may not be practical.
We've also installed many Amana heating and air conditioning systems in existing homes throughout Harveys Lake. For homes with traditional ductwork, an Amana furnace, central air conditioner or heat pump may be the right solution when replacing aging equipment.
We don't assume one type of equipment is right for every property. We consider the home's construction, existing system, electrical service and how the property is used before making a recommendation.
Frequently Asked Questions About HVAC in Harveys Lake
Do heat pumps really work during Harveys Lake's cold winters?
Yes. Today's cold-climate heat pumps are designed to provide heating at temperatures well below freezing. The important part is selecting and properly sizing the system for the home.
Some homes may be excellent candidates for a heat pump as their primary heating system, while others may benefit from keeping an existing furnace or boiler as part of the overall comfort system.
My lakeside villa has limited electrical power. How can I heat and cool it?
Depending on the property and available electrical capacity, a properly sized ductless heat pump may provide both heating and air conditioning without conventional ductwork.
Before recommending equipment, we evaluate the available electrical service, size and construction of the space and how the property is used.
Can a Mitsubishi Electric ductless system maintain a lower temperature in my lakeside villa during the winter?
Depending on the equipment and application, a Mitsubishi Electric ductless heat pump can be used to maintain a reduced indoor temperature while the property is unoccupied.
The system still needs to be properly sized, and insulation, heat loss, electrical capacity and freeze-sensitive plumbing should all be considered.
Can I monitor and control my heating and air conditioning remotely?
Yes. Many modern heating and cooling systems offer controls that allow you to check temperatures and adjust your system remotely.
This can be especially useful for seasonal homes and lakeside villas when you're away from the property.
